Spontaneous Potential

Spontaneous potential (SP) techniques are used to delineate shallow subsurface water flow. Subsurface water flow often creates natural electrical potentials that are detectable with SP methods. Contour maps of the earth's natural electrical potential are used to define:

  • Water movement
  • Geothermal deposits
  • Water seepage from dams or dikes

At J R Associates we stand ready to apply our geophysical expertise to your particular requirements. Please contact us to discuss how our combination of techniques, knowledge and experience can provide you with a window on what's underground.
